About the programme

ESA’s ACCESS programme is designed to accelerate the commercialisation and competitiveness of European industry in the space and non-space sectors. Its purpose is to ensure that European businesses benefit from the growth, innovation and dynamism brought by the commercialisation of space.  It offers support to all types and sizes of companies, ranging from start-ups to established players, across multiple sectors.

Whether you are a space-sector start-up looking to develop your company, or an established business with a brilliant idea on how to use space technology, ESA’s ACCESS programme can help you succeed.

ACCESS is structured around two key elements, both with a long and successful record in supporting European business – ScaleUp, and Business Applications and Space Solutions (BASS).

As an element of the ACCESS programme, ESA BASS continues to support the competitiveness of European businesses of all sizes and across all sectors, helping them to launch and nurture commercially viable innovative products and services using space technologies, assets or data.

The core aim of BASS is to accelerate the transformation of innovative ideas into viable market-ready space-based services and applications that deliver measurable socio-economic impacts.
